West Cary Group hires Martin Agency veteran Andy Azula as executive creative director

West Cary Group (WCG), a Richmond, Virginia, marketing, advertising, and technology firm, has named Andy Azula as executive creative director. The agency, which has about 120 people, wants to compete for larger national brand campaigns. Azula has more than two decades of experience, with creative roles at The Martin Agency, McCann, and Great Minds. He helped build m:united, an agency serving Microsoft's global business, and helped craft UPS's "What Can Brown Do For You?" campaign. He will work with chief creative officer Debra Fitzgerald. His appointment follows several months of collaboration with WCG. "The strongest agencies deliver both" creativity and accountability, said chief executive officer Moses Foster. WCG is also investing in AI to help its teams explore ideas that were once too costly to produce.
