Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of commercial, multiline property and casualty brokerage experience is required.
  • Independence, flexibility, self-starting ability, multitasking, and effective delegation are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel, is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, financial, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Exceptional organization and client service skills are required.
  • Previous experience in insurance marketing is required.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to promote teamwork within a unit are required.
  • The ability to develop and manage key relationships at all levels within the organization, with outside clients, and with carriers is required.
  • A Property and Casualty Producer License is required.
  • ARM, CIC, CPCU, or other specialized designations are appropriate for the role.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain overall client relationships for an assigned book of business.
  • Grow the existing book of business through new lines of coverage and new business opportunities.
  • Provide risk management expertise to clients and direction and leadership to the account service team.
  • Manage and retain the existing book of business and pursue new opportunities where appropriate.
  • Spend approximately 35% of time outside with clients and underwriters.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor a service plan for each client.
  • Communicate significant account issues and concerns to producers and the Senior Account Executive.
  • Assist in establishing loss control and claims activity for all clients and retain overall responsibility for implementing these services.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to the Account Manager, Account Analyst, and Administrative Assistant on the team.
  • Maintain relationships with client decision-makers at all levels to consult and influence clients on insurance issues.
  • Prepare client renewal strategies and ensure alignment with client requests and requirements.
  • Manage the overall insurance renewal process, including preparing and presenting marketing submissions, renewal proposals, binders, and stewardship reports.
  • Participate on assigned committees.
  • Promote teamwork and commitment to department and corporate goals.
  • Provide client services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee invoicing of current and new clients within established guidelines and manage accounts receivable within established guidelines.
  • Use the WorkSmart document management system and Sagitta agency management system to manage clients and the team.
  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
  • Travel to other company offices and client work sites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience servicing the real estate and construction industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Sagitta or another large agency management system is preferred.
  • Word and Excel proficiency are encouraged.

Norcross And Family Take 6% Stake In Bank Moving Into South Jersey Market

Camden powerbroker George Norcross and his family have invested in a Pennsylvania regional bank that’s moving into the South Jersey market, according to a United States Securities and Exchange Commission filing from earlier this month.The $26.6 million transaction on Nov. 4 gave the Norcross family a 6% stake in Mid Penn Bancorp. The stock purchase was detailed in the filing as one conducted by private equity firm General American Capital on behalf of the Norcross family’s Indiana Pacific General Trust.George’s brother, Philip Norcross, CEO and managing shareholder of the law firm Parker McCay, is listed as one of the trustees. Susan Hudson, who serves as a manager at General American Capital, a subsidiary of Indiana Pacific General Trust, also is a trustee.Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1st District), another of George’s brothers, is not named as a beneficiary of any of the trusts.George’s children, Lexie and Alexander Norcross, are beneficiaries of the investor group.
