About the job
- A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information assurance, or a related field with 7+ years of experience; or a master's degree with 5+ years of experience; or a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 16+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of proven experience in mission impact analysis, critical infrastructure protection, and Risk Management Framework implementation.
- Experience in mission analysis and information security technologies.
- Experience with Mission Relevant Terrain in Cyberspace, including resilient C5IM capabilities and critical asset correlation.
- Analytical and cybersecurity skills, with a deep understanding of mission assurance methodologies, cyber defense, and U.S. military operations.
- An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Successful completion of background and drug screening.
- A deep understanding of Department of Defense Mission Assurance policy and related frameworks.
- Understanding of the Mission Assurance Decision Support System, EXORD 116-19, and EXORD 8600-25.
- Ability to standardize data capture and metadata tagging and implement secure dashboards visualizing Task Critical Asset and Defense Critical Infrastructure posture, Risk Management Framework status, vulnerabilities, and segmentation coverage.
- Familiarity with the Mission Assurance Risk Management System, Enterprise Mission Assurance Analysis Portal, and Component Critical Asset Management Systems.
- Proficiency in Risk Management Framework, cybersecurity risk assessment, and mission-based asset identification.
- Ability to assess mission-critical dependencies and develop actionable risk mitigation strategies.
- Skill in correlating operational risk with asset vulnerabilities and mission priorities.
- Knowledge of system boundaries and data flows to inform Risk Management Framework authorizing artifacts.
- Ability to support terrain mapping and correlate threats with mission-critical systems.
- Skill in drafting recommendations and supporting risk mitigation planning.
- Ability to supervise, manage, and lead others.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.

- Lead MRT-C mapping and mission-based risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in cyber terrain and operational dependencies.
- Conduct critical asset dependency analysis to determine mission impacts and prioritize protection strategies.
- Oversee mission mapping and mission decomposition to identify operational dependencies and risks.
- Direct cyberspace terrain mapping, data capture, and iterative assessments across operational environments.
- Develop and maintain Risk Management Plans and Mission Mitigation Plans for Defense Critical Assets and Task Critical Assets.
- Identify, validate, and prioritize Task Critical Assets and Defense Critical Infrastructure supporting mission execution.
- Provide mission assurance leadership for Operational Technology environments, including facility-related controls and manufacturing systems.
- Support the execution of Mission Assurance Assessments and contribute to the Mission Assurance Risk Management System.
- Establish and govern an environment discovery and assessment process, including on-site mission and facility assessments, oversight of approved discovery and assessment tools, coordination with mission owners, technical stakeholders, and system operators, and engagement with senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Ensure development and maintenance of authoritative artifacts defining authorization boundaries.
- Lead updates and governance of the Mission Assurance Decision Support System in compliance with JFHQ-DODIN 8600-25 and HQDA EXORD 116-19.
- Develop and execute a knowledge management strategy to capture mission, system, and risk data; deliver actionable business intelligence and mission assurance insights; and enable data-driven decisions across functional and operational teams.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to mitigate mission risk and enhance operational resilience.
- Align mission assurance activities with Risk Management Framework and Department of Defense cybersecurity directives.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, white papers, and executive-level reports on mission risk findings and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain awareness of evolving threats and integrate intelligence into mission assurance planning.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Perform supervisory duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CISM, and CEH.
- Familiarity with Defense Threat Reduction Agency assessments and Mission Assurance Assessment and Planning execution.
- A background in operations research, emergency management, or cybersecurity strategy.

Chenega subsidiary awarded contract for security services at FBI Academy. * Chenega Naswik International has received a $6.4 million contract to provide security services for the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia * CNI President David Pine said the award is a source of pride for the company and a key component of its law enforcement agency business line * The contract has a 5-year period of performance which begins this May Chenega Corporation subsidiary Chenega Naswik International will work to provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, Virginia, with security services 24/7 under a new, competitively awarded contract. What is the Scope of the FBI Academy Contract? Chenega told ExecutiveBiz on Wednesday that the security services required under the contract include access control, visitor screening and visitor badge processing. The contract has a performance period of 5 years and is worth $6.4 million. Work begins May 2026. Commenting on the award, CNI President David Pine said, "The Chenega team is proud to have been awarded this contract once again and continue its partnership with the FBI's Training Division." "Supporting the FBI Academy is an important component of Chenega's law enforcement agency business line which includes projects with the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the NASA Protective Services Training Academy," Pine added. What other security services contracts has CNI secured in 2026? The contract with the FBI Academy is CNI's latest security services award from U.S. government customers this year. In late March, the Chenega subsidiary announced having secured an $8.5 million contract to continue its role of supporting force protection operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Humphreys Engineer Center in Alexandria, Virginia. CNI had delivered similar services since 2023, and with the contract, the company would continue providing support through September 2030. And in early March, CNI secured a five-year, $78.6 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security via its FPS Acquisition Division multiple award contract for protective security officer services. The award called for the provision of access control, patrol support and other armed security guard services at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the IRS New Carrollton Center in Lanham, Maryland. Work on the contract is expected to start in June and run through May 2031.
