Requirements

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • The candidate must have 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong computer skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • The Assistant MEP Coordinator plans, coordinates, installs, starts up, and commissions key mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
  • Coordinate the MEP model.
  • Guide the processing of MEP submittals.
  • Provide expertise with MEP-related requests for information.
  • Track MEP construction progress.
  • Organize startup and commissioning documentation.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to close punch list items.
  • Serve as a professional role model for interns, project engineers, senior project engineers, and new assistant MEP coordinators.
  • Identify and prioritize MEP information for the project management team during preconstruction.
  • Initiate and schedule 3D model coordination for assigned projects.
  • Own MEP-related methods of procedure and cutover activities for assigned projects.
  • Own commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and the commissioning agent.
  • Prioritize and schedule vendor startup and commissioning.
  • Initiate and organize MEP client training.
  • Become proficient in and utilize the company’s established systems and technology.
  • Support the company’s safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, enforce a safe work environment, and attend safety meetings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in MEP trades and technical knowledge of construction methods is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate 3D modeling software is a plus.
