A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling for drainage, stormwater management, and floodplain applications using commonly used software.
Design knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Strong organizational, coordination, and written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities

Collect and analyze data for mapping and reporting.
Design open and closed drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, and erosion and sediment controls.
Assist in preparing engineering documents, including plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications, for advertisement and construction.

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team of design professionals in our Rockville, MD office. Position will start in May 2027 upon graduation.
Typical design tasks include stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics, erosion and sediment controls and other water resources engineering tasks.
