Energy Northwest generates and delivers electricity to public power utilities in the Northwest at the cost of production. It owns four facilities—a solar station, a hydroelectric project, a wind project, and a nuclear plant—and also provides operations and maintenance for other utilities’ facilities and develops new generation projects. Power is produced and sold to member utilities, which then distribute it to customers at production costs. As a joint operating agency owned by public utilities, its goal is to provide reliable, affordable, environmentally responsible electricity while supporting public power activities and expanding generation to meet growing demand.
