Role
Zitara operates at the intersection of energy storage and application. Our software delivers the high-performance models necessary for our customers to operate their battery systems safely and profitably.
Zitara is seeking an experienced Operations Program Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our battery lab, ensuring efficient testing processes for both client projects and internal research initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, operations, and a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects. An outstanding candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate that they are entrepreneurial, proactive, and structured problem solvers who can manage multiple products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency within the battery lab, aligning with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Drive business planning initiatives to enhance insights and decision-making processes, leveraging operational data from the battery testing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of operational strategies with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
- Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity in the battery lab environment.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to foster collaboration and achieve operational excellence.
- Manage relationships with external battery testing vendors, overseeing the selection process, negotiating pricing, and ensuring compliance with testing protocols, project requirements and delivery timelines.
- Develop and manage program schedules, technical issues, design release management and resource needs with engineering and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations discipline or equivalent experience. MBA or relevant certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in Program or Project and Process Management.
- 2+ years in high-growth enterprise software or technology firms.
- Proven experience in program management within a technical environment, preferably in battery testing or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, executive leadership and other internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, including Jira and Asana.
