Requirements
  • Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years of prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid security license if required by the state and a driver's license as applicable.
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must maintain a working telephone number through which the employer can make contact.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 pounds.
  • The ability to perform foot patrols on the interior and exterior of the assigned facility.
  • The ability to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
Responsibilities
  • Help supervise operations of an assigned client site during the assigned shift.
  • Report directly to the Site Supervisor, Director, and/or Marksman.
  • Manage a team of security officers, including participating in scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
  • Ensure that the client site receives high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Handle escalated security issues and emergency situations appropriately.
  • Develop staff in technical and professional skills through performance management, coaching, and recognition.
  • Assist with coordinating and conducting site-specific on-the-job training, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for staff in accordance with Marksman training standards.
  • Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities, and patrols; review incident reports before submitting them to the Site Supervisor and/or Director; and coordinate preliminary investigations.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and post orders that are available for emergency reference by staff.
  • Train and qualify to work assigned posts and maintain practical knowledge of post instructions, including additional and emergency instructions required by the client.
  • Maintain access control procedures established by building management.
  • Use access control systems, visitor management systems, and closed-circuit television systems as needed.
  • Identify all tenants and visitors upon arrival.
  • Ensure visitors and vendors are properly signed in before accessing the building.
  • Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of tenant or building property.
  • Monitor security cameras within the facility.
  • Respond to incidents, including property emergencies.
  • Conduct general patrols of the entire property during various hours when required, including interior stairs and exterior areas in all weather conditions.
  • Assist tenants and visitors with directions and general business information.
  • Record data accurately, including property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions, for building and Titan management.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs concerning people, property, and packages.
  • Provide customer service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
