Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in commercial credit underwriting or related industry
  • Training on verification and identity theft prevention techniques
  • Familiarity with diverse risk management, verification tools and techniques
  • Strong professional communication skills internally and externally; able to work with customers to understand their business and gather information to assess risks
  • Data skills and ability to translate findings into interpretable business case
  • Intermediate Excel (can perform complex functions) /Sheets required; SQL a plus
  • Excellent research skills
  • Salesforce and DealHub experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Perform Period Review assessment and review process. Help build and maintain a periodic review process. Implement risk reviews and utilize scorecards to review active portfolios.
  • Lead enhanced due diligence calls with prospective and existing customers to ensure that key risks are fully understood and mitigated
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Executives, and Finance to structure changes identified during reviews
  • Contribute to the development of risk score cards, credit policies and add structure to processes
  • Share insights and expertise with the team; promote accountability for team-level and individual results
  • Performing Underwriting/onboarding process for submitted applications. Conduct in-depth risk credit reviews of our high risk deals
  • Assist in managing compliance and bank review issues. and confirm completion on pending issues. Coordinate completion of MB Trust issues with MBTrust Team and make sure escalations are handled in a timely manner. Coordinate with FIS for onboarding issues and maintenance on submitted requests
  • Review and audit MasterCard Match inquiries. Work with the sales team, merchants, and Acquirers to help resolve disputes and issues regarding MasterCard Match. Create and maintain a scoresheet documenting each resolution
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal partners and external merchants
