Performs technical aspects of tissue typing and other tests of immunologic activity and interprets test results.
Job Description
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Perform Tissue Typing testing following documented procedures.
Verify and report laboratory findings in a timely and accurate fashion.
Follow all established regulations related to specimen processing, QC, lab safety, etc.
Works as part of the on call team to cover deceased donor transplant testing and workups.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a biological science, BA or BS Degree in Medical Technology, or a Biological Science AND Experience: One to three years in a Tissue Typing or Blood Bank Lab or equivalent medical or research laboratory.
