Requirements
  • Ten (10) years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems, systems engineering experience with five (5) years of specialized experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Aegis Integrated Combat Systems; Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense; Element Level (Weapon, Sensor, or Combat Management System) Experience; Fire Control Operations; Familiarity with Aegis Baseline 9 and Ballistic Missile Defense 4 (BMD 4)
Responsibilities
  • Systems engineering processes regarding weapon systems requirements/concept development, weapons systems design/engineering, systems computer program development, integration, test, and certification processes (safety and system), information assurance, safety and engineering requirements
  • Requirement’s definition, traceability, verification, generation of system performance, system specifications, system architecture development (functional, physical, behavioral), and definition of system interfaces, conducting system trade studies, and generation of functional requirements
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with AEGIS Weapons System, AEGIS Combat Systems, or SSDS ships to include operational and laboratory / test bed experience
Desired Qualifications
  • BS STEM Degree or 15 Years U.S. Navy surface warfare experience in lieu of Stem Degree
  • Experience with Combat System, Warfare System or Element certification processes
  • Training, skill and experience necessary to conduct detailed, complex system engineering activities associated with the systems defined above
  • Applicants should be detail oriented, highly organized with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
