About the job
- Hold an active, unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License, including Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Trainee licensure.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least 6 months of experience working with computer and web-based tools.
- Be able to recognize and identify patient medications.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
- Have experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly organized and able to work independently.
- Have organization skills and attention to detail.

- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist the pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers.
- Follow up with patients as needed to clarify questions and provide updates about their orders.
- Enter valid prescriptions into the system.
- Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy.
- Operate automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications.
- Fill exception trays with the appropriate medication.
- Work daily with the Operations team to ensure the right medications are put in the right pouches.
- Transition orders through workflow stages from initial dispensing through quality control.
- Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels to bulk prescription items.
- Pack and ship completed orders, including printing and affixing appropriate labels to dispensers and shipping boxes.
- Sort and triage boxes for shipment at the appropriate time.
- Assist the Operations team with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing.
- Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of operational policies and procedures.
