UEFA Champions League Final. This marked the fourth consecutive year of Clockwise and Omnicom's partnership as Pepsi's media tea at the UEFA Champions League Final, delivering photo and video content to support international agencies across the event. Lean sports event content production. This year's production presented a unique challenge. With the final taking place so close to the FIFA World Cup in the United States, the crew was intentionally streamlined. Its task was to maintain the same premium quality and meet an extensive list of deliverables with a smaller team on the ground. City-wide brand activations. A key priority was documenting Pepsi's activation at the Champions Festival, capturing how the brand stood out and engaged fans within a highly competitive event environment. Clockwise also covered the Champions Night guest programme, which brought together some of European football's biggest names, alongside the Pepsi Summit. Finally, its team captured the atmosphere surrounding the biggest club football match in the world, from fan experiences and city-wide energy to out-of-home branding across Budapest. It's a project that perfectly reflects the Clockwise approach: creating branded content that meets the demands of a commercial brief, adapting to the fast-moving nature of major live events, and embracing the opportunity to work in remarkable locations. Budapest provided the perfect backdrop - a vibrant city rich in character, culture, and energy. Clockwise is already looking ahead to seeing what Pepsi has planned for the 2027 final. Madrid, Clockwise is ready.
Omnicom is benefiting from its acquisition of Interpublic, which is creating cross-selling opportunities and cost efficiencies. The company's 2026 earnings are projected to rise 21.4%, while revenues are expected to grow 49.6%. The advertising giant is expanding services for major clients including American Express, General Mills and Uber. It secured integrated media wins with Adidas, IBM and Subway. Management noted that expansion within existing accounts drove organic growth in the second quarter of 2026. Omnicom repurchased about $3 billion of shares in the first half of 2026 and plans roughly $500 million of additional buybacks this year. However, the company faces challenges. Advertising organic revenues declined by high single digits in the second quarter. The Interpublic acquisition also materially increased debt, with gross long-term debt standing at $10.2 billion.
PepsiCo picks Publicis Groupe for global media account review. Cross-Channel Advertising September 02, 2026 Highlights. * PepsiCo has chosen Publicis Groupe to handle its global media account. * The new "One PepsiCo" model will unite strategy, planning, activation, connected identity, and technology under one roof. * Publicis is expected to withdraw from the remaining Coca-Cola global media pitch as MediaSense handles the review. PepsiCo has chosen Publicis Groupe to handle its global media account, and the company confirmed the appointment to ADWEEK. The new "One PepsiCo" model will unite strategy, planning, activation, connected identity, and technology under one roof. It will cover the brand's portfolio, including Pepsi, Gatorade, and Lay's, in more than 200 markets. The move comes as PepsiCo spent $5.4 billion on marketing activities in 2025, with $3.4 billion of that amount going toward advertising, according to its latest annual report. Sources with direct knowledge said the appointment will lead Publicis to withdraw from the remaining Coca-Cola global media pitch. MediaSense is handling that review, which has been estimated at around $4 billion. Publicis already handles Coca-Cola's media account in the U.S. and Canada, and declined to comment. The new PepsiCo appointment will also displace Omnicom, whose OMD network has held the account in key markets, including the U.S. and U.K., for more than two decades. A PepsiCo spokesperson said Omnicom will remain a "critical strategic partner" across many creative, sports, and PR briefs. Publicis has previously worked with PepsiCo in China, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and parts of Eastern Europe. PepsiCo is also running a separate global review focused on broader AI marketing transformation and capabilities, with Omnicom, Accenture, Deloitte, and Publicis Groupe's Sapient unit previously reported as competing for the AI brief. company spotlight Upstream.
