Requirements
  • Candidates must be licensed by New York State.
  • Candidates must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited critical care fellowship, with board eligibility or certification.
  • Candidates must have BCLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association; online courses are not accepted.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and provide medical care to patients within the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
  • Provide consulting services throughout the hospital and emergency department.
  • Perform procedures including central line placement, dialysis catheter placement, arterial line placement, endotracheal intubation, thoracentesis, and bronchoscopies.
  • Participate in clinical studies and teach residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Desired Qualifications
  • Candidates with a background in anesthesiology, internal medicine, neurology, or surgery will also be considered.
