Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in organizational change management, including substantial experience supporting merger or transformation programs.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
  • The ability to deploy ADKAR outlines in the successful journey through change.
  • The ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • An aligned approach to organizational design and talent management elements that supports change objectives.
  • The ability to apply expert organizational change management knowledge to prepare and deliver change management assessments and plans for large-scale and complex programs and initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups and organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • The ability to evaluate the success of change management activities and provide progress reports to a broad set of stakeholders.
  • The ability to facilitate and consult with senior leaders at all levels to gain sponsorship, approval, and engagement from the business and affected key audiences in executing the change management strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and consult effectively with senior leaders, with experience communicating across all organizational levels.
  • Experience monitoring change adoption and planning additional organizational change management activities to address adoption gaps or support continued realization of change benefits.
  • Understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office; advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to work with domestic and international project stakeholders and support federal-agency missions.
Responsibilities
  • Apply a structured change management methodology and lead change management activities, including ADKAR.
  • Coach managers and supervisors who support organizational design and the definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance and consult and coach project teams.
  • Support project management, governance, and sponsorship activities associated with large-scale programs and initiatives, ensuring integration and alignment across multiple concurrent programs and initiatives.
  • Work with leadership and integration teams to understand cumulative impacts associated with integration and other major initiatives so the organization is prepared to receive and sustain changes.
  • Increase employee, leadership, and stakeholder adoption and usage of processes, systems, and technology while minimizing resistance to change.
  • Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives as they fulfill the role of change sponsor.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into project plans.
