- A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Pool and spa knowledge, or the ability to learn and obtain a Certified Pool Operator certificate.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds if needed.
- A valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies and provide coverage for a co-worker's time off.
- Comfort using a computer for time-clock entries and mandatory safety and compliance classes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
- Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
- Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with management and staff and work closely with them on special maintenance projects.
- Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris.
- Clean pool and clubhouse restrooms and the main area as needed.
- Follow company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment.
- Weed and edge common areas as needed.
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
- Move heavy objects when required and drive a maintenance truck or golf cart to various locations on the property.
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies and maintain a clean shop.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Perform pool and spa chemical testing and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience with senior 55+ residents is a plus.
