Requirements
  • 8+ years of product design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of design processes; knowledge of what is possible and what will be hard to achieve and/or implement in a digital environment.
  • Expertise in producing design deliverables, including detailed user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies/folksonomies, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that represent interaction recommendations, etc..
  • Strong skills in modern design tools like Figma.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS—enough to understand feasibility of execution.
  • The ability to think at systems level and design solutions that are scalable and extensible beyond the immediate use.
  • Experience presenting and defending designs to senior and executive leadership.
  • Portfolio and/or case studies of shipped work that demonstrates an ability to effectively design for highly technical experiences, unfailing advocacy for the user, data-driven approach, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
  • Act as both strategist and product practitioner.
  • Craft thoughtful and effective user experiences that balance business goals with customer needs.
  • Collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, designers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership through all stages of the product-development lifecycle.
  • Triangulate data from multiple inputs to inform design and product strategy.
  • Represent the voice of our customers (suppliers and shoppers) in product definition and strategy meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of team members through design review, modeled behavior, dedicated mentorship, or less formal coaching and advice.
