Responsibilities
  • Audit processes and procedures in relation to the quality assurance system, including BRC.
  • Complete traceability audits for non-conforming products or ingredients, customer complaints, or other required cases.
  • Verify and validate HACCP flows, risk assessments, and critical control points.
  • Identify and report food safety and quality-record non-conformances to stakeholders.
  • Document and review corrective actions within one month of implementation.
  • Challenge current policies and procedures when products are out of specification or issues originate with suppliers or the factory.
  • Verify that finished products are assessed by the quality assurance taste panel and meet agreed specifications.
  • Identify raw materials that do not meet specification and raise concessions for production approval.
  • Identify and raise supplier non-conformances and rejections in SAP.
  • Risk-assess checks required for inbound materials and determine the appropriate action.
  • Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and communicate required corrective actions to key stakeholders.
  • Recognize and document non-conformances and collect evidence to mitigate food safety and quality risks.
  • Place products on hold when food safety or quality is at risk, agree next steps with the Quality Manager, and close root-cause investigation reports in a timely manner.
  • Validate procedural delivery so operators can maintain specification parameters.
  • Carry out scheduled internal reference compliance checks on key equipment.
  • Perform problem solving with the in-house detection system.
  • Set up legal and food safety programs for in-house detection systems.
  • Coordinate testing requirements, document results, and report corrective actions.
  • Notify contractors about onsite pest-control issues and follow up on them.
  • Maintain the technical tracker within 24 hours of a non-conformance.
  • Support technical induction and brief new starters and guests on site food safety and quality policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • GCSE English and Maths.
  • Experience writing procedures.
  • Experience working in an internal and external auditing environment.
  • Experience using SAP.
  • A degree or relevant experience.
