Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • At least five years of nursing supervisory experience, including a minimum of three years of hospital, substance use, or other behavioral healthcare supervisory nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and electrocardiography.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, develop, train, and teach nurses and other clinical discipline providers.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule and all shifts as needed in response to program and staff needs.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing substance abuse treatment programs.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Responsibilities
  • Develop nursing and medical support staff schedules.
  • Monitor completion of medical support and nursing staff assignments, identify lags in the daily flow, and intervene as necessary to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain or improve productivity levels set by administration and patient needs.
  • Supervise care provided by nursing staff to ensure current competency and best-practice standards.
  • Conduct orientation for new nursing and medical support staff and provide in-service training as needed.
  • Provide medication administration training and competency evaluation for required staff.
  • Provide training and competency evaluation for Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments-waived tests for required staff.
  • Manage a large inventory of controlled substances accurately.
  • Complete daily and monthly regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain inventories of methadone and stock items, and order supplies and medication as indicated.
