  • Formal qualification in office administration, secretarial work, or related training.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the student administration management system administrator and primary contact, assist with training, ensure timelines are met, maintain required data, and run site-specific queries and reports.
  • Serve as the school's primary Mississippi Student Information System point of contact by leading Mississippi Student Information System processes, ensuring compliance with Mississippi Department of Education reporting requirements, training and supporting staff, troubleshooting data issues, coordinating with district and state personnel, and submitting required state data accurately and on time.
  • Serve as secretary and receptionist for the building principal; organize, manage, and supervise office operations and personnel; and perform administrative support functions for school personnel.
  • Open, sort, and route mail, packages, and special deliveries to appropriate individuals and departments.
  • Assist with attendance, tardiness, breakfast counts, and student dismissals; schedule students and change schedules as directed.
  • Maintain the list of students who receive assistance from the Department of Human Services.
  • Request, send, and maintain student records and other documents.
  • Collect and receipt money, maintain proper bookkeeping, and prepare funds for deposit.
  • Answer, screen, and forward telephone calls.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Welcome and assist families and visitors.
  • Copy, scan, and file documents.
  • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
