The Role

Our internship program gives you true insight into a career in human resources, while helping you develop highly sought-after skills that will help you jump start your career. You will be exposed to all the facets of a human resources function in a global corporate department. The position is located downtown Chicago in our corporate headquarters in the Willis Tower.

Responsibilities

Process simple transactions in our HR Information System Workday working closely with the HR Coordinators.
Maintain new hire paperwork, tracking open items and follow-up as needed.
Maintain electronic personnel files and assist teams with file clean-up.
Assist benefits team in reviewing and processing related invoices.
Assist talent acquisition team with scheduling candidate interviews.
Partner with Learning and Development team to revamp dashboard and monitor metrics.
Work closely with Talent Management team during the Mid-Year review process and provide support building PowerPoint decks.
Various other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must be a student seeking an undergraduate education.
Strong communication skills; listening, speaking and writing.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
Team-oriented, adding value to a collegial, collaborative environment.
Proactive and self-motivated; possesses a strong sense of urgency.
Strong aptitude in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

Seeking undergraduate education in Human Resources.
Ability to learn our HRIS (Workday).

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The hourly range for this position is 24.00 USD to 24.00 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills.
