Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of leadership experience as a Restaurant General Manager in a luxury hotel and/or fine dining restaurant.
  • A thorough working knowledge of wines, liquors, cocktails, and other beverages.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of the restaurant team and food and beverage division.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office, OpenTable Guest Centre, Avero Slingshot, Opera, Silverware, and Revinate.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest service standards and initiatives, to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Position the restaurant as one of the top dining choices in Los Angeles.
  • Maintain food and beverage brand standards and comprehensive knowledge of all restaurant menus.
  • Handle guest concerns and respond quickly and professionally.
  • Achieve financial targets by maximizing revenue and managing expenses and productivity.
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan, including budget administration and preparation, forecasting, profit-and-loss accountability, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Lead the department and ensure service standards are followed through consistent performance management, communication, training, development, and follow-up.
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, and implement improvements.
  • Improve service by communicating with colleagues about guest needs and providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching.
  • Interview, select, and train new colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major.
  • Experience in a union environment.
