Proceeds from the Impact Gala will directly support Boys Town Nevada's programs, including: * Mental and behavioral health services for children * Family support and in-home intervention programs * Behavioral supports for educators and students * Autism assessments and care * Crisis response and suicide prevention resources The event also highlights the growing urgency around youth mental health, including the effects of social media, rising stress and anxiety, and the importance of early intervention - key issues impacting families across the region. Pare Corporation supports Boys Town New England with backpack drive.

Pare Corporation supports Boys Town New England with backpack drive. Employees from Pare Corporation's Lincoln office, along with three of the corporation's other New England offices, assembled 89 backpacks filled with school supplies for local children and teens served by Boys Town New England. According to a news release, this marks the fifth consecutive year that Pare has partnered with Boys Town for the backpack drive. "Starting a new school year should be an exciting time, but the cost of backpacks and supplies can create real stress for families," said Marcy Shyllon, executive director of Boys Town New England. "Pare's employees continue to show our children that their community is behind them. These backpacks provide the supplies students need, but they also help children walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and supported." "We want to give foster families and children a head start by filling backpacks with school supplies to encourage a love of learning (and maybe even inspire a future engineer or scientist!)," said Sarah Pierce, senior GIS specialist at Pare Corporation in the release.

Boys Town honored with Father Edward J. Flanagan Human Dignity Award.

Boys Town honored with Father Edward J. Flanagan Human Dignity Award. More than a century after Father Edward J. Flanagan opened the doors of Boys Town to children in need, his unwavering belief that every child deserves love, opportunity and hope continues to guide its mission. This past weekend, Boys Town was honored to receive the Father Edward J. Flanagan Human Dignity Award from the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America during its 2026 National Convention in Omaha. The award recognizes organizations and individuals who exemplify a commitment to human dignity, compassion and service to others. The recognition is especially meaningful because it bears the name of its founder, whose vision transformed countless lives and continues to shape its work today. Venerable Flanagan was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a supporter of Irish independence, making this recognition a deeply personal connection to his legacy. Father Flanagan famously said, "There is no such thing as a bad boy," a belief rooted in the inherent worth and potential of every child. More than 100 years later, that philosophy remains at the heart of Boys Town's mission. In presenting the award, the Ancient Order of Hibernians highlighted Boys Town's century-long commitment to advocating for children facing abandonment, poverty and neglect. The organization recognized the lasting impact of Father Flanagan's legacy and the continued dedication to serving children and families with compassion and care. While the award was presented to Boys Town, it also belongs to the generations of staff members, supporters, alumni, volunteers and advocates who have helped carry Father Flanagan's mission forward. Their commitment allows Boys Town to continue providing hope, healing and support to young people and families across the country. As Boys Town reflect on this honor, Boys Town is reminded that the work is far from finished. Children and families continue to face challenges and need caring adults who believe in their potential. This recognition serves as both a celebration of its history and a renewed call to continue serving those in need. Boys Town is grateful to the Ancient Order of Hibernians for this meaningful recognition and for their commitment to honoring Father Flanagan's legacy. Together, Boys Town will continue working to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive for generations to come.
