Requirements
  • Maintain a clean driving record and obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Hold at least a full G class driver's licence.
  • Work compassionately and patiently with individuals who may have special needs.
  • Be physically capable of lifting and maneuvering assistive devices when required.
  • Be comfortable working around any type of service animal.
  • Have sound knowledge of the Greater Niagara Region and surrounding area.
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, reliable transportation and door-to-door customer service to passengers.
  • Assist passengers with boarding vehicles and maneuvering wheelchairs or other accessible devices.
  • Attach securement belts and lift portable assistive devices as needed.
  • Ensure the proper restraint and security of passengers, devices, and mobility aids when applicable.
  • Provide passengers with accurate information about fares, schedules, and stops.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment throughout each journey.
  • Communicate professionally with passengers and team members.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections at the start of each shift, including checks of tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other essential systems.
  • Work assigned shifts, which may include morning, afternoon, or evening shifts from Monday to Sunday, and onsite open-report shifts covering multiple driving shifts as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
