Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Calibration demand surged; Caliber cited Protech data showing 65% of repairs need calibrations in 2026.
  • Protech’s September 2026 webinar series targets liability, reimbursement, and certification pain points driving inbound leads.
  • Fleet work expanded through Samsara Beyond 2026, signaling diversification beyond collision-repair customers.

What critics are saying

  • Caliber and Mitchell now bundle adjacent ADAS workflows, pressuring Protech’s standalone pricing by 2026.
  • Insurance and OEM liability rules around calibration documentation intensify, raising sales friction in 2026.
  • If shops internalize calibration capability, Protech’s outsourcing volume erodes and mobile utilization drops.

What makes Protech Automotive Solutions unique

  • Protech’s ADAS ID3 software turns scan data into OEM calibration recommendations instantly.
  • Mitchell integrated Protech’s ID3 into Predictive ADAS in 2025, widening shop distribution.
  • Protech claims 1,600 certified bays across 41 states, plus the nation’s largest mobile fleet.

This has made it increasingly critical for collision repairers to identify the ADAS components on automobiles and ensure that necessary repair procedures and calibrations are not overlooked
