Aeris adds SGP.32 support to IoT eSIM Orchestrator.

Aeris adds SGP.32 support to IoT eSIM Orchestrator. Fri, 16th Oct 2026 (Today) Aeris has launched a new version of its eSIM Orchestrator for the IoT Accelerator platform, adding support for the GSMA SGP.32 standard for remote management of IoT eSIMs. The launch also includes Single SKU eSIM and Aeris eIM as a Service, expanding the tools available to Mobile Network Operators, device makers and enterprise customers managing connected devices across multiple markets. Aeris said its IoT Accelerator platform now manages 110 million IoT devices, including 44 million eSIMs. According to the company, eSIMs now make up more than 40 per cent of its installed base, compared with 12 per cent across the wider market. The update also broadens support beyond SGP.32 to environments that already use the GSMA's SGP.02 machine-to-machine eSIM standard and the SGP.22 consumer eSIM standard. A single connection to IoT Accelerator gives customers access to 30 operators with pre-integrated support across all three generations of eSIM standards, Aeris said. Profile management The new eSIM Orchestrator is designed to automate profile management through policies and event-based controls, rather than requiring operators to manage devices one by one. Customers can use those controls to determine which local profile a device uses, when it downloads that profile, what the device is allowed to do and what happens if a process fails, according to Aeris. Single SKU eSIM is aimed at companies shipping devices internationally. Aeris said the model allows Original Equipment Manufacturers to build one hardware version for global distribution, while enterprises can assign the appropriate local operator profile after deployment instead of creating separate market-specific variants. Aeris is also offering a managed remote eSIM service through eIM as a Service, integrated into IoT Accelerator for SGP.32 profile switching. Customers can also use their own eIM supplier, with Aeris naming Thales, G+D, Kigen and IDEMIA among supported vendors. Jon Connet, Chief Product Officer at Aeris, linked the changes to broader shifts in connected systems. "The future of IoT is increasingly tied to the rise of Physical AI, as connected vehicles, machines and infrastructure become more intelligent and autonomous," he said. "That evolution demands connectivity that can adapt as devices move across markets and networks and requirements change. Our new IoT eSIM capabilities build on Aeris' proven IoT platform leadership to make that possible at global scale." Aeris is targeting sectors where devices must operate across borders and networks without manual intervention, including autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics and smart infrastructure. In those settings, eSIM management has become more important as companies try to balance roaming arrangements with local network access and regulatory demands. Operator view About 70 per cent of device attachments on the platform each month occur on a partner network rather than through roaming, according to Aeris. The company added that devices using its platform attach in more than 200 countries each month and that it serves more than 7,000 enterprise customers. Orange Business, one of the operator groups working with Aeris, described the move to SGP.32 as more than a technical change. "The transition to IoT eSIM based on SGP.32 is not simply a technical upgrade; it's a strategic enabler for enterprises managing connected devices across markets. Our collaboration with Aeris sets a strong benchmark for how operators and platform partners can deliver global eSIM orchestration in a way that's practical, standards-compliant and built for the realities of global IoT," said Elisabeth Reille, Executive Vice President - Smart Mobility Services at Orange Business. In a second statement, Connet focused on the operational challenge of deploying eSIM at scale. "For OEMs, MNOs and enterprises, the challenge isn't changing a SIM profile on one device; it's doing it reliably across thousands or millions of devices," he said. "SGP.32 provides the foundation, but orchestration makes it work at global scale. Aeris enables customers to use the same IoT connectivity service across networks with local SIM profiles, combining the flexibility of roaming with the advantages of local connectivity." The product update also comes amid broader competition over how IoT providers manage connectivity as embedded SIM usage grows. Aeris said its platform is growing at more than 20 per cent year on year, faster than the market overall. It also cited industry recognition from Frost & Sullivan and Counterpoint Research as evidence of its position in the sector. Aeris added that its IoT Watchtower service can provide network-level security as an optional layer alongside connectivity management. The combined offering is intended to give customers control over connectivity policies, profile switching and security as fleets of devices move across countries and network environments. Aeris serves sectors including connected vehicles, robotics, utilities, logistics, medical devices and manufacturing, and said it connects more than 115 million devices worldwide, including 45 million connected vehicles.

Aeris and Telna Partner to Eliminate Global IoT Connectivity Fragmentation, Expanding IoT Accelerator Coverage in Brazil

Aeris and Telna Partner to Eliminate Global IoT Connectivity Fragmentation, Expanding IoT Accelerator Coverage in Brazil TMCnet News [October 06, 2026] | / | Aeris and Telna Partner to Eliminate Global IoT Connectivity Fragmentation, Expanding IoT Accelerator Coverage in Brazil Aeris, the secure connectivity platform for Physical AI and intelligent IoT devices, today announced a strategic partnership with Telna, a provider of managed global network infrastructure for cellular connectivity. The partnership combines the Aeris IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform and Aeris IoT Watchtower(R) security suite with Telna's cloud-native core network to eliminate the connectivity fragmentation that slows multinational IoT deployments, starting with Brazil. Telna joins a growing community of Tier-1 operators on IoT Accelerator, giving enterprises, OEMs, and managed service providers (MSPs) a simpler way to scale, secure and manage IoT programs across borders. "Multinational enterprises shouldn't have to rebuild their IoT program every time they enter a new country," said Mark Cratsenberg, Chief Commercial Officer,Aeris. "Welcoming Telna to the IoT Accelerator community gives our customers compliant, low-latency access to Brazil through the same platform and security they already use worldwide. It's another step toward truly borderless connectivity for Physical AI and intelligent, mission-critical IoT." Unlocking Brazil's High-Growth IoT Verticals Brazil restricts permanent roaming, which has long forced global enterprises to negotiate separate local agreements or run parallel connectivity stacks. With Telna's local IMSI profiles in Brazil and 800+ network agreements across 200+ countries and territories, Aeris customers can now reach Brazil's fast-growing agribusiness, industrial IoT, healthcare and automotive markets on compliant local connectivity, managed alongside the rest of their global fleet. Zero-Touch eSIM and Intelligent Local Breakout The joint solution delivers zero-touch eSIM provisioning, so devices connect in market without SIM swaps or country-by-country onboarding. Telna's geo-redundant Points of Presence, combined with Aeris' global Tier-1 operator agreements, enable intelligent local breakout that keeps mission-critical traffic close to the device, sharply lowering latency for autonomous systems, connected vehicles and edge AI. IoT Accelerator is also the only IoT platform with security monitoring and protection fully integrated into the cellular network, giving every device zero-trust protection from day one. "Telna built a cloud-native core so connectivity could move at the speed of our partners' businesses, and local IMSIs are the foundation of making that connectivity compliant for the long term," said Gregory Gundelfinger, Founder and CEO, Telna. "Together with Aeris, we give enterprises and OEMs a single, secure path to scale in one of the world's most dynamic IoT markets. Brazil is where we start, but it is not where we stop. Telna will keep bringing new local profiles onto IoT Accelerator so their customers can expand into restricted markets as fast as their business demands and operate there for the full life of the device." One Interface, Lower Total Cost of Ownership By consolidating connectivity, security and management into a single interface on IoT Accelerator, the partnership lets customers enter new markets without new carrier contracts or device redesigns. It also counters the cost inflation in international markets that erodes competitiveness and total cost of ownership. About Aeris Aeris is the secure connectivity platform for Physical AI and intelligent IoT devices. Aeris extends IoT eSIM orchestration for physical AI.

Aeris extends IoT eSIM orchestration for physical AI. Physical AI and intelligent connectivity platform intros orchestrator for IoT accelerator, adding support for the GSMA SGP.32 specification alongside single SKU eSIM and identity as a service. Published: 02 Oct 2026 16:30 Looking to enable businesses to use the same internet of things (IoT) connectivity service across networks with local subscriber identity module (SIM) profiles, connectivity provider Aeris has unveiled its eSIM Orchestrator for its IoT Accelerator global connectivity management platform. Among the key features offered by the system include support for the GSMA SGP.32 specification for IoT eSIM remote management, single SKU eSIM and Aeris eIM as a service (eIMaaS). The result of this combination, says the company, is to enable enterprises to scale global IoT deployments while minimising complexity. And, significantly, Aeris noted that the launch addressed the needs of business in the era of physical AI. "The future of IoT is increasingly tied to the rise of physical AI, as connected vehicles, machines and infrastructure become more intelligent and autonomous," said Aeris chief product officer Jon Connet. "That evolution demands connectivity that can adapt as devices move across markets and networks and requirements change. Our new IoT eSIM capabilities build on Aeris's proven IoT platform leadership to make that possible at global scale." The eSIM developments are designed to strengthen the Aeris IoT Accelerator platform, which manages 110 million IoT devices, 44 million of which are eSIM-based, representing more than 40% of its installed base compared. A connection to Aeris IoT Accelerator now gives customers access to a community of 30 operators with pre-integrated support across all three generations of eSIM standards. Support for the SGP.32 IoT eSIM specification for remote management is designed to elevate the product to an environment that already supports the SGP.02 M2M eSIM and SGP.22 Consumer eSIM specifications. Created by the GSMA, the industry body responsible for mobile communication standards, SGP.32 is a global, next-generation eSIM standard for remote SIM provisioning (RSP) in IoT devices - especially those with no user interface. It is designed to enable the large-scale, hands-off management of eSIM profiles, making it easier to deploy and operate IoT without physical access. It also makes it easier to remotely manage IoT device connections, particularly constrained endpoints. While eSIM technology has been available for consumer devices, managing these digital SIM profiles in IoT devices comes with unique challenges. For example, many IoT devices lack a user interface, making manual SIM management impractical. SGP.32 addresses such limitations and builds on existing eSIM technology, introducing a more efficient way to remotely manage IoT connectivity. It is intended to allow SIM profiles to be managed remotely through a centralised platform, enabling automated updates and provisioning - even for devices without user interfaces or located in hard-to-reach areas. Also, the SGP.32 standard also introduces the eSIM Orchestrator (eSO) role, which manages profile lifecycle, network selection, compliance and unified billing. * Wholesale routing choices create 'massive' eSIM performance gaps: Analysis finds hidden challenges in wholesale embedded subscriber identity module infrastructure and routing architecture, even for users on the exact same host network. * Telna, MTN Bayobab deliver eSIM services across Africa: Managed connectivity and mobile services provider partners with leading African telco to deliver travel embedded SIM services across multiple markets across the continent. * Singtel and Thales launch multi-operator IoT eSIM network: Bridge Alliance service will allow enterprises to provision and manage connected devices across four Asia-Pacific mobile operators through a single platform. * Truecaller rings up Telna to power in-app travel eSIM service: Caller ID and spam call-blocking service selects multi-network infrastructure to power its recently launched travel eSIM service, allowing users to buy and activate a global eSIM directly in app. Aeris says it is introducing three capabilities to build on that foundation: SGP.32 eSIM orchestrator for automated profile management; single SKU eSIM for simpler global deployment; and eIM as a service (eIMaaS), a fully managed eSIM IoT remote manager (eIM). As regards the former, the company notes that instead of managing profiles device-by-device, customers can use policies and events to automate which local profile a device holds, when it downloads it, what it's permitted to do and what happens when something fails. Second, it says it is attempting to allow OEMs to build and ship one device variant globally, while enterprises can deploy the same device model across markets and assign the appropriate local operator profile after deployment. That reduces the need for market-specific SIM or device variants and lets connectivity decisions happen closer to deployment. Users are able to use eIMaaS, a fully managed eIM integrated into IoT Accelerator to provide a service for SGP .32 profile switching. Alternatively, users can bring their own eIM of choice from eSIM suppliers such Thales, G+D, Kigen and Idemia. "For enterprises, the challenge isn't changing a SIM profile on one device; it's doing it reliably across thousands or millions of devices," said Connet. "SGP.32 provides the foundation, but orchestration makes it work at global scale. Aeris enables customers to use the same IoT connectivity service across networks with local SIM profiles, combining the flexibility of roaming with the advantages of local connectivity." Aeris also believes that as connected systems become more intelligent and autonomous, their connectivity has to keep pace. Physical AI deployments such as autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics and smart infrastructure need to operate across markets and networks without manual reconfiguration as devices move or requirements evolve. The company added that the expanded IoT eSIM orchestration offering gives IoT Accelerator another critical layer of control for the Physical AI environment. Policy-based management lets connectivity adapt remotely across markets and device lifecycles, while single SKU eSIM and eIMaaS reduce deployment and operational complexity.
