- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a focus on global accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other international accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Netsuite and advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Payments and FX experience is highly valued.
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international accounting regulations and standards.
- Oversee the global consolidation process, managing the accurate and timely consolidation of financial results from multiple entities and regions.
- Coordinate with regional accounting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
- Work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies.
- Build out Internal Controls framework and processes
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing global accounting team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline global accounting operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment in financial processes and reporting.
- Interface with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
- Provide guidance and training to the accounting team to ensure ongoing professional development.
