About the Company

Overland AI

Autonomous off-road ground-vehicle autonomy for defense

Overland AI focuses on off-road ground-vehicle autonomy for defense and national security. It develops the OverDrive autonomy stack that lets ground vehicles operate autonomously in challenging, contested, and electronically denied terrain. The system integrates with platforms such as Polaris RZR, Textron Ripsaw M5, and General Dynamics S-MET, and includes OverWatch C2, which lets one operator supervise multiple vehicles. The company has demonstrated the technology as a U.S. Army/DIU OT prototype performer and a DARPA RACER Phase II performer for both heavy tracked and lightweight wheeled vehicles. After a $10 million seed round led by Point72 Ventures, Overland AI raised a $32 million Series A in September 2026 led by 8VC to accelerate deployment of off-road autonomy for defense customers. The goal is to provide proven autonomous capabilities for defense applications, helping militaries operate more effectively in difficult terrain.
