Manufacturing Supervisor - Dyeing
About the job
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of lead experience in a manufacturing environment, or High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of supervisor or manager experience in an industrial environment within the past 5 years.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and/or weekends when required.
- Serve as a liaison between the Department Manager and employees by providing an effective communication line within the department.
- Supervise Kuster operations as needed.
- Monitor departmental production, production quality, processes, and procedures and ensure employees continually follow departmental SMS procedures and instructions.
- Use Formula Control to assign production.
- Ensure department machinery and equipment are well maintained and repaired as needed.
- Complete paperwork to monitor and record departmental productivity, quality, product lineups, and performance.
- Ensure employee safety by reinforcing positive safety actions and correcting and documenting safety violations under SAFE programs and policies.
- Maintain positive working relationships with department employees and remain aware of potential absenteeism, turnover, and problems.
- Ensure all scheduled jobs are filled at the beginning of each shift and communicate with previous and upcoming shift supervisors to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Hold employee meetings to communicate and teach safety, policy, quality, and other information and requirements.
- Maintain the employee attendance calendar and complete Workforce time summaries daily.
- Minimize the impact of employee injuries by prioritizing the injured employee's well-being, investigating and documenting accidents, and implementing corrective measures.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped.
- Monitor shift status and progress, take corrective actions, and immediately report serious or out-of-control situations to the Department Manager.
- Use data analysis to evaluate shift performance.
- LTO certification.
- Previous dye line experience.
- A four-year degree.
