Micrologic is embarking on a new chapter of growth after raising $45 million in a funding round backed by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Investissement Québec.
Fondaction and the Business Development Bank of Canada have invested in Icentia, a Québec medical technology company. The funding round, which included existing investors Investissement Québec, CIC Capital, and the Theodorus Fund, will accelerate deployment of Icentia's CardioSTAT® technology. CardioSTAT® is a long-term ambulatory cardiac monitoring solution combining a single-use ECG recorder with artificial intelligence-powered analysis. The technology enables early detection of cardiac arrhythmias, helping prevent complications as heart disease becomes more prevalent. The investment comes as Icentia reaches financial and operational self-sufficiency, supported by commercial traction across several key markets. Icentia operates cardiac diagnostic facilities in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Fondaction manages more than $4.5 billion in net assets as of 31 May 2026.
Canadian chocolate brand Mid-Day Squares has secured $8 million in debt financing led by Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development for Québec Regions. The funding will enable the company to scale its manufacturing operations and boost annual production to approximately $250 million, according to co-founder and co-CEO Nick Saltarelli. The financing comes as Mid-Day Squares prepares to launch in US Walmart and Costco stores. The debt package will support the company's expansion plans as it enters major American retail channels.
