What believers are saying

  • MAX said July 2026 it supports 50-plus surgeons across 40-plus locations.
  • February 2026 additions of Ranucci, Carrao, and Press strengthened Riverside Oral Surgery in New Jersey.
  • Freeport’s April 2025 $77 million facility funds new partnerships and accelerates Northeast rollups.

What critics are saying

  • MAX carries growth debt from Freeport’s $77 million facility, pressuring returns if acquisitions slow.

  • PE-backed OMS rivals can outbid MAX for surgeons, starving its rollup pipeline by 2027.

What makes MAX Surgical Specialty Management unique

  • Surgeon-founded by Jason Auerbach, MAX sells OMS-only support, not generic dental DSO services.
  • July 2026 Sensei Cloud rollout standardizes every location’s practice management, payments, and claims.
