Requires 7 to 10 years of experience as an electrical maintenance technician in food manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or cold-storage facilities.
Must be able to work shifts, on ladders, and inside cold rooms.
Must be able to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot generators and automatic transfer switch (ATS) panels.
Must be able to maintain electrical circuits and safety systems for boilers.
Must be able to diagnose electrical faults using various measuring instruments.
Must be able to maintain motor control center (MCC) panels.
Must be able to work with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo motors.
Must be able to install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instruments and sensors.
Must be able to diagnose programmable logic controller (PLC) system faults.
Must be able to maintain electrical systems for cold rooms.
Must be able to read electrical schematics and control circuits.
Must be able to work with water-resistant electrical panels rated IP65/IP67.
Must be able to design and install power distribution panels.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair low- and medium-voltage panels, electrical circuit breakers, automatic transfer switch (ATS) panels, generators, and electric motors.
Perform scheduled electrical maintenance on boilers, steam systems, cold rooms, and control panels.
Identify causes of electrical faults, including short circuits, current leakage, phase imbalance, and low voltage.
Diagnose programmable logic controller (PLC) and automation system faults, tracing them through to input/output (I/O) modules.
Carry out preventive maintenance programs for electrical panels and equipment.
Ensure electrical panels meet Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and are protected from water during washdown operations.
Apply electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices to isolate and secure energy sources.
Maintain and repair chocolate manufacturing and packaging machines, including VFFS, flow-pack, labeling, and filling machines.
