  • The employee must be able to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and office equipment; occasionally reaching, stooping, or kneeling may be required; close vision is required for computer work.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate designated mechanical, miscellaneous metals, or structural steel construction projects to meet goals on time and within budget, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Manage project budgeting and scheduling, and administer contracts, buyout, documentation, meetings, billings, change conditions, labor productivity, cost control, and project closeout.
  • Lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to manage schedules, track progress, address challenges, and maintain communication throughout each project phase.
  • Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
  • Initiate, review, and oversee project administration and documentation to avoid claims and protect the interests of the company and client.
  • Secure, review, process, and execute contract agreements promptly.
  • Review, edit, finalize, and distribute project budgets.
  • Conduct pre-construction turnover meetings for assigned projects.
  • Ensure required permits and licenses are obtained and posted.
  • Set up, monitor, and update project schedules.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment procurement with the purchasing agent, emphasizing the buyout plan to meet or improve established schedule dates and budget costs.
  • Negotiate, prepare, process, and execute subcontract agreements.
  • Ensure required submittals are reviewed, processed, and approved, and that submittal logs are set up and maintained.
  • Develop and submit billing schedules of values and obtain approval.
  • Maintain an over-billed cash position and request retention release bill-downs and payments.
  • Collect payments, progress billings, and retention receivables by their due dates.
  • Price, negotiate, and process change-condition and change-order work.
  • Ensure projects are properly staffed with appropriate field forces, including reviewing, updating, and approving labor resource loading and labor productivity.
  • Oversee the use of tools and rental equipment on assigned projects and ensure equipment that is not required or being used is returned immediately.
  • Manage and forecast the financial performance of assigned projects, including continual cost control.
  • Prepare and submit required monthly contract valuations accurately and on time.
  • Review, approve, and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
