Brown-Forman takes Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry into rtds. Last updated: 18/09/2026 at 5:51 PM 18 September 2026 'After seeing the response, we knew it was the cocktail that earned its can ...' Brown-Forman has added a premix extension to the blackberry-flavoured SKU of flagship whiskey Jack Daniel's in the US, barely a year after the full-strength variant's release. The company, which added Tennessee Blackberry to the American whiskey's permanent portfolio in August last year, confirmed the launch in the country of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry Mixed With Lemonade this week. According to the brand owner, the RTD is a response to the viral trend of mixing Blackberry with lemonade that it observed last year. Available nationwide, the 4.8%-ABV premix has an SRP of US$11.99 per four-pack of 35.5cl cans. "When we launched Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry last summer, fans quickly fell in love with its signature cocktail of Tennessee Blackberry and refreshing lemonade," said Jack Daniel's RTD brand director at Brown-Forman, Mary Beth O'Mara. "After seeing the response, we knew it was the cocktail that earned its can, and we're excited to bring it to our friends in a format that makes it even easier to enjoy." Of Jack's other flavoured variants, Tennessee Honey also has an RTD sibling that features lemonade, albeit at a stronger ABV of 7%. In results for the three months to the end of July, when group sales dipped by 1%, Brown-Forman noted that Jack's three flavour extensions not including Blackberry - Apple, Fire and Honey - were in marked decline sales-wise, while its RTD operations delivered an 11% top-line lift.
Brown-Forman announces $500 million debt offering. LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Brown-Forman Corp. announced Thursday it has priced a $500 million debt offering that the Louisville-based spirits company could use for purposes ranging from refinancing existing debt to stock repurchases, acquisitions and capital investments. The company said it priced $500 million of 5.375% senior unsecured notes due Oct. 15, 2031. Brown-Forman, one of Kentucky's largest publicly traded companies and the owner of brands including Jack Daniel's, Woodford Reserve and Old Forester, said proceeds from the five-year notes will be available for general corporate purposes. Potential uses include paying dividends, repurchasing Brown-Forman shares under authorized stock repurchase programs, repaying or refinancing existing debt, including commercial paper, and providing additional working capital. The company also said proceeds could be used for capital expenditures, acquisitions and funding pension plan obligations. The offering provides Brown-Forman with $500 million of additional long-term financing at a fixed interest rate as the company manages its capital needs and existing debt obligations. Barclays Capital Inc., BofA Securities Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are serving as joint book-running managers for the offering. The debt offering comes as Brown-Forman navigates a challenging environment for the global spirits industry. Earlier this month, the company reported fiscal 2027 first-quarter net sales of $911 million, down 1% from the same period a year earlier. Operating income declined 3% to $252 million, while diluted earnings per share increased 6% to 38 cents. Brown-Forman President and CEO Lawson Whiting said at the time that the company's first-quarter results were largely in line with expectations and that innovation continued to provide growth opportunities despite pressure in portions of the company's portfolio. Brown-Forman reaffirmed its full-year outlook when it released those results. The company has deep ties to Kentucky's signature bourbon industry. In addition to its Louisville headquarters, Brown-Forman's Kentucky operations and brands include Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Old Forester and Cooperage operations and other production and warehousing assets. Brown-Forman said the notes will be offered through a prospectus supplement and accompanying base prospectus filed as part of an effective shelf registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Copies of the prospectus and prospectus supplement relating to the senior notes may be obtained for free by visiting EDGAR on the SEC website at http://www.sec.gov. Brown-Forman Revives 'Kentucky Boy' Bourbon, Honoring Master Distiller Chris Morris' 50-Year Legacy Brown-Forman Revives 'Kentucky Boy' Bourbon, Honoring Master Distiller Chris Morris' 50-Year Legacy September 8, 2026 LOUISVILLE, Ky.-(BUSINESS WIRE)- Brown-Forman Corporation today announced the debut of its newest whisky, Kentucky Boy, a revival of an historic brand honoring Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris for his monumental 50 years of service and innovation in the bourbon industry. Brown-Forman Corporation announced the debut of its newest whisky, Kentucky Boy, a revival of an historic brand honoring Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris for his monumental 50 years of service and innovation in the bourbon industry. Kentucky Boy is a rare, curated whisky crafted by Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and Old Forester Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo in honor of their mentor. It is a one-time release, with a limited number of bottles. McCall and Trigo created this exceptional expression that was inspired by whiskies that Morris developed during his legendary career including Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, King of Kentucky, and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Kentucky Boy, presented at 100 proof and $99.99 manufacturer's suggested retail price, will debut September 10 at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, Kentucky. Beginning September 11 at 10am ET, bottles will be available in limited quantities at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, in the online store at shop.oldforester.com for shipping to states where it is legal (D.C., KY, NE, NH, ND only), and at select Kentucky retailers. Guests are welcome to join us for a special Kentucky Boy release celebration with Chris Morris at the distillery on Friday, September 11 from 6:00-8:00pm ET. Morris began his journey with Brown-Forman in 1976, eventually rising to become just the fifth Master Distiller in Old Forester history and the guiding force behind Woodford Reserve, now a global brand. Known affectionately across the industry as a true Kentucky legend, his dedication to flavor innovation helped usher in the global renaissance of premium bourbon. Looking back on his 50-year contribution to Kentucky bourbon, Morris shared: "It has been an honor and a privilege to have played a role in the renaissance of Kentucky bourbon. Seeing consumers appreciate bourbon on a level historically afforded that of Single Malt Scotch and Cognac is most gratifying. I am confident that future generations of Kentucky bourbon distillers will continue to build upon the momentum we started nearly 50 years ago." To honor Morris' half-century legacy, Brown-Forman turned to the Brown-Forman Archives to resurrect a historic brand name from its 150-year history. The Kentucky Boy label was originally acquired in 1923 when the company purchased Louisville's Lynndale Distillery during Prohibition. Marketed through the 1940s under a thoroughbred racing theme, the dormant brand now returns from the archive vault to celebrate one of the bourbon industry's true champions with an unprecedented blend that offers collectors a liquid timeline of Morris' impact on the modern bourbon landscape. A portion of the net proceeds from Kentucky Boy bottle sales will benefit nonprofit Second Stride, a leading national equine adoption program dedicated to professional rehabilitation, retraining, and placement of retired Thoroughbred racehorses. Hunter Luxury earns pole position in packaging design as Jack Daniel's x McLaren Halo case wins AmeriStar Design Excellence Award. The unique presentation case, inspired by the precision of F1's Halo safety device and unveiled at the Miami Grand Prix, was recognised for uniting premium brand storytelling with precision engineering, material innovation, and a carefully choreographed consumer experience. 7 September 2026 12:48 Hunter Luxury has reinforced its position as a leading full-service supplier of luxury and limited-edition packaging after its work with Brown-Forman and McLaren on the Jack Daniel's x McLaren Halo MK1 Limited Edition was recognised with an AmeriStar Award for Design Excellence. The striking presentation case houses a bottle of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, bottled at 58.7% ABV in tribute to McLaren founder Bruce McLaren's first race car, an Austin 7 bearing the number 58. That same attention to detail and storytelling flair is captured in the packaging, with judges recognising a distinctive wishbone structure inspired by the renowned Halo safety device that sits above the cockpit of every Formula 1 car. The idea emerged as Brown-Forman's Global Design team immersed itself in McLaren's visual and engineering language, exploring everything from the nose cone and rear wing to the centre-lock wheels, to develop a structural idea capable of framing the bottle. The breakthrough came with the Halo itself. Viewed from the cockpit, the device does more than protect the driver; it wraps around and frames them. The same visual logic could be applied to premium spirits packaging, placing the bottle at the heart of the structure and transforming a piece of race engineering into the structural chassis for a prestige release. Its sculptural form gives the pack immediate display presence, while the mechanical interaction at its centre creates a memorable moment of discovery. A bespoke push-button mechanism is concealed beneath the McLaren logo on top of the unit. When pressed, it releases the bottle smoothly from its fitted cradle, turning the act of opening the pack into a choreographed piece of mechanical theatre. The movement, resistance, and sound were each refined during the design process, including the introduction of EVA elements to give the button a softer, more satisfying click. The result is a controlled mechanical presentation system where form and function operate as a single integrated outcome. Paul Hamilton, Head of Sales & Marketing at Hunter Luxury, said, "To be recognised in the Design Excellence category at the AmeriStar Awards is a major endorsement of what Halo MK1 represents: the ability of packaging to carry a brand story through structure, movement, material, and detail. "This was a genuinely collaborative achievement. Brown-Forman began with a bold structural idea rooted in McLaren's visual language and inspired by one of Formula 1's defining safety innovations. Working with the creative teams behind Jack Daniel's and McLaren, our challenge was to convert that vision into a manufacturable object that embodies the presence of a trophy and the precision of automotive engineering, capturing the theatre, thrills and cutting-edge technology of motorsport." Turning that ambition into a manufacturable structure required an intensive development programme led by Hunter Luxury. The team translated what began as a preliminary flat artwork file into a fully engineered three-dimensional structure across more than 20 CAD iterations, refining the overall structure and mechanism. Digital motion studies were used to evaluate the mechanism before physical prototypes were produced using FDM, SLA and DMLS processes to validate form, fit and function. The finished structure contains more than 50 components, made from eight materials using eight manufacturing processes. Extruded aluminium elements were laser-cut and CNC-machined where required for finishing, alongside die-cast aluminium and injection-moulded high-performance polymer components. That technical complexity is deliberately concealed, allowing the materials and finishes to carry the visual and tactile story of the collaboration. Its carbon fibre styling recreates reference material supplied by McLaren, while an Alcantara-inspired lining provides a softer interior contrast, paying tribute to the flame-retardant fabric used to protect drivers in the cockpit. The signature McLaren Papaya surfaces use a satin mould finish to achieve a consistent matte appearance, while the black aluminium exterior is treated through an advanced electrophoresis process, enhancing durability and achieving a refined, uniform finish. Reflecting on the original design ambition, Sam Gardner, Senior Art Director at Brown-Forman Global Design, said: "There was a point when it stopped feeling like a case or a gift pack and started to feel like a piece of sculpture. That was when I realised people weren't going to hide this away in a cupboard. They were going to treat it like a centrepiece. "So many brand collaborations can end up feeling like two logos have simply been placed on an existing format. We wanted to genuinely share the DNA of Jack Daniel's and McLaren to create something neither brand could have made on its own. My hope is that, 20 years from now, a collector can look at Halo MK1 on a shelf and still see it as a moment when we got that balance right. If it still feels striking and relevant, then we've done our job." The AmeriStar Awards are the Institute of Packaging Professionals' (IoPP) annual packaging competition that recognises outstanding packages across 18 categories. Hunter Luxury's win - the latest for the Halo MK1 project - embodies the principles championed by the awards, highlighting the value of bringing creative design, structural engineering, prototyping, manufacturing expertise and global supply chain management together from the earliest stages of a project.
