  • 6+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within Infrastructure & Operations or IT workplace services teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring team members and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in balancing project and operational work for a technology or IT-focused team.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, with hands-on experience managing projects using agile principles.
  • Proficiency in work management tools such as Jira for tracking and managing project tasks, and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate complex workstreams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, build strong relationships, and manage expectations effectively across all levels. Skilled in aligning stakeholders, navigating competing priorities, and driving consensus.
  • Proficiency in managing shifting priorities and quickly realigning resources as needed.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, particularly supporting healthcare or government sector contracts, with a strong understanding of compliance controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead teams in remote settings, managing productivity and engagement across distributed environments, with occasional travel to support strategic planning sessions and in-person initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT Operations management to create and maintain a roadmap that encompasses both project and run-the-business activities.
  • Use agile planning and prioritization techniques to balance short-term fixes and improvements with strategic, longer-term project initiatives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for aligning on incoming requests, communicating priorities, and coordinating timing with stakeholders.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, operational status, and roadmap adjustments, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate roadmap presentations and status reviews, proactively addressing potential changes, risks, and impacts on timelines to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Lead agile project management practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to maintain team momentum and ensure incremental progress.
  • Champion agile methodologies to improve workflow efficiency, ensuring project and operational work are completed in an iterative and adaptive manner.
  • Develop a comprehensive resource plan in collaboration with IT services teams to allocate team members effectively across projects, operational tasks, break-fix activities, and small improvements.
  • Forecast resource needs and adjust allocations dynamically based on project timelines and operational demands.
  • Implement process improvements that streamline resource management, agile practices, and operational prioritization.
  • Use feedback from agile retrospectives and other tools to continuously refine team practices, enhancing both responsiveness and efficiency.
