Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • At least 8 years aviation experience
  • 3 years experience in safety risk management
  • Experience in FAA or Military regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience in safety risk management, internal safety communications, and data visualizations
Responsibilities
  • Conducting and coaching subject matter experts in risk or hazard assessments
  • Leading teams through challenging safety related situations
  • Generating clear and concise documentation for the Safety Management System
  • Training team members on SMS documentation
  • Managing messages up the reporting chain and down into working level teams
  • Identifying areas of improvement in safety processes and developing plans for changes
  • Discovering effective root cause analyses of events and incidents
  • Coordinating program level activities
  • Developing standardization of safety practices
  • Participating in Safety Management System Activities to implement and maintain an SMS across the OEM
  • Supporting problem-solving activities associated with assigning engineering, production, and operating UAM in a certification environment
  • Coordinating flight test and system test activities
  • Participating in all four pillars of SMS and Safety Culture activities
