  • At least 10 years of sales or business development experience at a fintech, payments company, crypto business, or bank, ideally in Colombia, the Andean region, or Central America.
  • Experience selling to fintechs, remittance companies, payment service providers, business process outsourcing and service exporters, and importers, with a track record of meeting quota across the full sales cycle.
  • An existing network of senior professionals in Latin American fintech, payments, or crypto, including remittance companies, payment service providers, and trade-oriented businesses.
  • A clear understanding of the value stablecoins and blockchain bring to cross-border payments.
  • Professional working fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Be based in, or within two hours of, Bogotá, with the ability to overlap a few hours daily with US Eastern and Brazil time zones.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence.
Responsibilities
  • Build Caliza's business in Colombia, the wider Andean region, and Central America as the company expands its local payment rails.
  • Own the Andean and Central America territory, including Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, and focus on the stated US–Andean remittances, Andean–China supplier payments, and intra-Latin America corridors.
  • Prioritize target customers in each market: in Colombia, remittance companies handling US–COP inflows, fintechs, business process outsourcing and service exporters, and importers paying suppliers abroad; in Peru, exporters in mining services and agriculture, fintechs, and payment service providers; in Ecuador and Bolivia, importers, remittance companies, and trade businesses needing USD settlement; in Panama, regional fintech and payment service provider headquarters and Colón Free Zone trading companies; and in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, remittance companies, business process outsourcing firms, and service exporters.
  • Sell remittances, platform and marketplace payouts, international payroll, supplier payments, foreign exchange, and named USD accounts across the territory.
  • Work with Product and Partnerships to launch new corridors, validate local demand and pricing, and provide early feedback on payment-rail performance.
  • Grow accounts by cross-selling named USD accounts, foreign exchange, and multi-country payouts.
  • Source, qualify, and close new revenue-generating customers using the existing network, and run full sales cycles from discovery through pricing, contract, onboarding, and first live transactions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, including basis-point pricing, foreign exchange spreads, and volume tiers, and present using existing templates.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasts in HubSpot, and track pipeline coverage, win rate, time to first transaction, and monthly volume.
  • Work with Customer Success, Operations, and Compliance to ensure smooth handoffs, and share prospect feedback to refine the sales process.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior startup experience.
  • Deep understanding of the Andean fintech and crypto landscape and relevant regulations, such as Banco de la República foreign-exchange rules and SFC requirements, as they relate to closing prospects.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, and modern AI tools such as Claude.
