Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
  • Detail orientation and strong organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and independently is required.
  • A valid driver's license and any endorsements required for the position must be maintained.
  • The employee must successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing annually.
  • The employee must pass pre-employment background, motor vehicle report, physical, medical evaluation, and drug-screen reviews.
  • The employee must meet the physical demands of light work, including occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force, walking on uneven surfaces, occasionally using step ladders or stairs, sitting and standing for extended periods, and regularly kneeling, bending, and squatting.
  • The employee must pass color and vision examinations as required by the position, hear and distinguish required auditory signals, work in loud conditions around heavy or moving machinery, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Read and understand construction contracts, project specifications, federal requirements, and other project governing documents.
  • Develop and maintain closeout tools, including standard operating procedures, project progress reports, tracking mechanisms, and closeout checklists.
  • Coordinate with project staff to conduct audits and documentation reviews to determine project compliance and closeout progress.
  • Assist project staff with managing the construction closeout process as needed.
  • Train project staff on closeout tools and processes.
  • Travel as required.
  • Regularly engage in, participate in, and promote Herzog's culture and essential behaviors.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Report all safety violations to the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A four-year degree in a construction-related field, or equivalent construction or construction-estimating experience, is preferred.
  • Experience using data management systems such as Procore, HCSS, or PMWeb is preferred.
  • Experience using and understanding construction schedules and scheduling programs such as Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • Experience using artificial-intelligence-driven programs is a plus.
