Warehouse Manager
About the job
- Knowledge of supervision, budget development, safety management, standards development, process management, surveillance, inventory control, reporting, information analysis, equipment maintenance, and judgment.
- At least 3 years of experience running warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds without difficulty or pain.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, heat, cold, and loud noise.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
- Establish and monitor warehouse security procedures and protocols.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling them with the data storage system.
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing repair work orders, and requisitioning replacements.
- Prepare the annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
- Schedule and assign employees and follow up on work results.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train warehouse employees.
- Coach, counsel, discipline, plan, monitor, and appraise warehouse staff job performance.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree.
