Requirements
  • The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Public Administration or a related field; ABD candidates will also be considered but must earn their degree before August 16, 2027.
  • Candidates should have primary research and teaching interests in program evaluation and public policy.
  • The successful candidate must be able to teach courses in research methods.
  • Candidates should have strong research skills and teaching skills.
  • Candidates should have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or the potential to publish in top scholarly journals.
  • Candidates should have the potential for or prior experience with seeking or securing external grant funding.
  • Applicants must submit a letter of interest or cover letter, current curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts specifying a conferred or ABD degree, and contact information for three current professional references.
  • Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon verification of credentials and other required information.
Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Public Administration and Political Science.
  • Conduct research.
  • Participate in governance of the NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration program.
  • Serve on departmental, college, university, and professional committees.
  • Mentor students.
