Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or an allowed substitution, is required.
  • IM1 requires 0 years of experience; IM2 requires 0–3 years; IM3 requires 3–10 years.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment and operating systems is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 baseline certification requirements, such as CompTIA Security+, is required.
  • Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides is required to maintain compliant network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and monitor network routing and switching equipment across multiple unclassified and classified enclaves.
  • Operate and troubleshoot enterprise-level networking hardware, including Cisco and Juniper networking equipment and operating systems.
  • Resolve network administration support requests and collaborate with other IT shops on complex cross-functional requirements.
  • Serve as the Tier 2 escalation point for advanced help desk tickets involving complex connectivity, port activation, and VLAN assignment issues.
  • Organize, cable, and maintain telecommunications rooms and network cabinets in accordance with current Air Force standards.
  • Research, design, and implement a lifecycle management and hardware replacement plan for networking infrastructure.
  • Update, draft, and maintain network topology maps and physical building diagrams for supported unclassified and classified networks.
  • Ensure network infrastructure remains compliant with current Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides.

Daniel Cash promoted to Vice President of Business Development. 08.24.2026 Canvas is pleased to announce the promotion of Daniel Cash to Vice President of Business Development. Daniel joined Canvas as Director of Strategic Planning and has since advanced into executive leadership, bringing extensive experience in strategic growth, capture, and customer engagement across the defense and national security community. As Vice President of Business Development, he will lead Canvas' growth strategy and customer engagement efforts, working across the organization to align emerging mission needs with the company's capabilities in test and evaluation, engineering, digital modernization, software, and mission systems. Prior to joining Canvas, Daniel held business development leadership roles at QuantiTech and Axient, where he most recently served as Director of IDIQ/GWACs. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing growth strategies, building trusted customer and industry relationships, and positioning technical capabilities against evolving Department of Defense priorities. Daniel earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Management Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Alabama.
