- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering field is required.
- A Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) is required.
- At least 10 years of experience with temporary works construction practices and constructability innovation techniques is required.
- Proven knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, LARSA, and MathCAD is required.
- Proven success with creative, innovative, and optimization strategies for construction challenges is required.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with interpersonal skills used to defend, clarify, and explain construction strategies and designs, are required.
- Clear, concise, and efficient technical writing skills used in calculation packages are required.
- The ability to self-prioritize and track individual work with limited oversight is required.
- The ability and motivation to mentor developing engineering team members, set clear expectations, and support the team in reaching company and departmental goals is required.
- Provide constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Design and draft construction methods for temporary works, including falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, and slopes, ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and contract specifications.
- Review personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost effectiveness, and material quantities.
- Conduct forensic analysis for post-construction items to support claims mitigation and dispute resolutions.
- Submit designs for peer review or approval review accurately and timely to avoid construction delays on the project site.
- Seal personal and team designs following approval review.
