Skyward commits $100,000 to Nexus Public Safety Center in Stevens Point.

Skyward commits $100,000 to Nexus Public Safety Center in Stevens Point. Skyward has pledged $100,000 toward building the Nexus Public Safety Center in Stevens Point. The project aims to enhance education and realistic scenario-based training for first responders across central Wisconsin. 4h ago Tuesday, Oct 20 By S. D. Coffey Mid-State Technical College announced on Oct. 20 a $100,000 commitment from Skyward in support of the Nexus Public Safety Center, an education and training complex planned for Stevens Point. The investment from Skyward, a technology company based in Stevens Point that serves school districts nationwide, is intended to strengthen training, technology and resources for current and future public safety professionals across central Wisconsin. The contribution will advance the Nexus campaign and help develop modern training environments for law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, corrections and other public safety disciplines. "At Skyward, we believe strong communities are built through partnerships and investments that create lasting impact," said Scott Glinski, chief executive officer of Skyward. "The Nexus Public Safety Center is an opportunity to strengthen public safety across central Wisconsin by giving first responders the training and resources they need to protect the people who live and work here. We're proud to support this important investment in our region's future." Nexus is being developed through a partnership between Mid-State Technical College, the City of Stevens Point and regional public safety agencies. The approximately $45 million project includes a 71,000-square-foot complex housing Mid-State's public safety education center as well as a new City of Stevens Point fire station and satellite police station. The facility will also feature extensive outdoor training environments designed to serve all 62 public safety agencies within Mid-State's district. Kurt Heuer, director of the Law Enforcement and Jail Academy at Mid-State Technical College, said: "Public safety professionals face increasingly complex situations that require sound judgment, technical skills and the ability to work together under pressure. Nexus will allow us to move beyond the limitations of our current training environments and provide the kind of realistic, hands-on experiences that prepare individuals for what they will encounter in the field. Skyward's investment brings us another step closer to making that level of training available right here in central Wisconsin." The Nexus campaign launched September 30 with more than $2.5 million already raised toward its goal. Dr. Shelly Mondeik, president of Mid-State Technical College, said: "Skyward's generous commitment is a powerful example of what it means for businesses to invest in the long-term strength and safety of their communities... We're incredibly grateful for their leadership in helping bring Nexus to life and hope their example inspires others to join us."

By integrating with Skyward Student Information System (SIS), AccelEye helps districts connect critical student, incident, behavioral, and digital activity information within a more unified safety ecosystem. Bringing intelligence closer to the point of need. Today's school safety challenges extend beyond the physical school environment. Student safety concerns can emerge through online activity, social media, forums, digital communications, behavioral indicators, and reported incidents. AccelEye provides technologies designed to help schools identify and understand these signals, including: * AI Weapon Detection * AI-Enhanced Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM) * WebFilter * Content Monitoring * OSINT * SafeAlert When these capabilities work alongside existing student information systems, schools can gain greater context around potential concerns and make more informed decisions. Connecting contextual data for better visibility. The AccelEye and Skyward partnership is designed to help reduce information silos by connecting relevant data across student safety and management workflows. Contextual information such as device activity, incidents, behavioral signals, and assessment data can help authorized school teams develop a more complete understanding of emerging concerns. Instead of relying on isolated pieces of information, teams can work with connected insights that support earlier identification, assessment, and appropriate intervention. Supporting a more proactive approach to student safety. Effective student safety requires more than responding after an incident occurs. Schools need tools that help them recognize potential concerns, understand the surrounding context, and coordinate appropriate responses. With AccelEye's AI-powered solutions integrated into the Skyward ecosystem, districts can strengthen their ability to: * Identify potential safety concerns earlier * Connect digital and behavioral signals with relevant student information * Support threat assessment and case management workflows * Improve visibility across multiple sources of information * Reduce manual information gathering and IT overhead * Enable authorized teams to make more informed, context-based decisions Built for modern school safety teams. The partnership between AccelEye and Skyward reflects a shared commitment to helping educational organizations use technology more effectively to support student safety and wellbeing. By bringing AI-powered safety, digital intelligence, behavioral threat assessment, and monitoring capabilities closer to the systems schools already rely on, AccelEye helps districts move toward a more connected and proactive approach to safety management. A stronger, more connected safety ecosystem. The future of school safety depends on connected information, intelligent technology, and coordinated action. As a Certified Skyward Partner, AccelEye is proud to contribute to that future by helping educational organizations bring together the information and tools they need to identify concerns earlier, understand risk more effectively, and support safer school communities. Enhancing school Threat Assessment with BTAM and Skyward SIS. By connecting AI-Enhanced BTAM with Skyward SIS, schools can bring relevant student information, behavioral signals, and incident data together to support a more efficient threat assessment process. This connected approach can help identify potential concerns earlier, streamline case workflows, reduce administrative workload, and enable school teams to focus more time on assessment and intervention. By reducing manual processes and improving access to contextual information, districts can potentially reduce case-management workload by more than 50%, lower operational costs, and empower teams with earlier, data-informed insights to support student safety and wellbeing. Together, AccelEye and Skyward are helping schools turn information into actionable insight - and insight into safer outcomes for students and communities.
