Group Chef - Medical Device Reprocessing Service
About the job
- Hold a CFC in medical device technology or STE 2, with five years of experience in medical device reprocessing, including one year in a hospital setting, and management training with at least two years of team-supervision experience.
- Use Excel and Word proficiently; experience with production management software (GPAO) is desirable.
- Have very good spoken and written French proficiency.
- Work irregular hours, as the service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- Organize and deliver medical device reprocessing services for all HUG departments and external clients.
- Coordinate the handling of medical devices according to sterilization best practices, priorities, and urgent needs for operating theatres and all clients.
- Analyze situations, make decisions, and work independently and collaboratively to optimize technical resources according to priorities and needs.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with procedures, protocols in the service's quality assurance system, and professional best practices.
- Plan and organize medical device processing according to available resources and the needs of different sectors, balancing production requirements with employee well-being.
- Motivate and support employees, develop team spirit, and foster partnerships to proactively manage complex situations involving multiple professional stakeholders.
- Manage employees respectfully and fairly, recognizing their contributions, and provide regular feedback to develop team skills.
- Maintain and update employees' and personal knowledge of medical device reprocessing through continuing education and conferences.
- Experience with production management software (GPAO).
