Requirements
  • Understanding of Engineering Data Warehouse, plant breakdown structures, engineering reference data libraries, and engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards including Equipment Class Library, Document Class Library, and CFIHOS.
  • Basic knowledge of AVEVA AIM, AVEVA ISM, Digital Twin setup, EDMS-AVEVA connections, and configuring reporting tools with AVEVA AIM.
  • Knowledge of document management and information management systems for assets and projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA AIM, Aconex, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and SolidWorks.
  • Previous experience as an AutoCAD drafter, including 3D modeling and P&ID drafting.
  • Experience with document control and engineering data warehouse activities on assets.
  • Experience with engineering business processes and information-management data and document-management work processes across projects and operations.
  • Understanding of industry standards, practices, database structures, data methodologies, and cross-discipline engineering data terminology and requirements.
  • Ability to plan, implement, test, document, and troubleshoot system integrations or upgrades.
  • Experience designing P&IDs, isometric drawings, and 3D plant models using Plant 3D and PDMS.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure extract, transform, and load jobs run as scheduled.
  • Maintain an issues log and compile delta reports for ETL gaps and discrepancies for EPCs, information-management leads, discipline leads, and business leads.
  • Run AVEVA extracts for additional key performance indicator and reporting requirements not addressed in AVEVA AIM.
  • Prepare data extracts from EPCs, EDTs, and other systems to support consistent loading of tools or applications such as SAP and HSC.
  • Provide oversight of the handover of latest drawings and compare them with datasets delivered by projects and management-of-change systems.
  • Recommend solutions for AVEVA AIM integrations with project, operations, or maintenance software and systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 support and troubleshooting for AVEVA AIM and Power BI reporting, escalating issues to the IT team or AVEVA AIM product owners and consultants as needed.
  • Maintain, prioritize, and respond to user feedback, change requests, and enhancements.
  • Provide feedback on usability, features, and performance to business processes.
  • Propose improvements to the AIM steering committee for navigation, searching, and access to asset information.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SQL, SAP, WRENCH, and Primavera.
  • Ten or more years of experience in oil and gas engineering projects, including six to eight years of document-control experience.
  • Knowledge of Aconex, EDT, and AVEVA AIM load processes and gateway tools.
  • Experience in oil and gas.
  • Experience in data analytics.
  • Experience with information-management tools supporting ETL, such as SQL, C++, and application programming interfaces.
  • Proficiency in metrics reporting, such as Power BI.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
