Requirements
  • Zero to five years of planning experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A bachelor's degree in Urban/Community Planning, Urban Ecology, Civil Engineering, Airport/Transportation Planning, Aviation Management, Geography/GIS, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Verbal, written, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to airports throughout the Intermountain and Northwest regions.
  • Experience using generative artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence assistants for research, data analysis, planning, document production, and automation, with attention to accuracy, data privacy, and professional judgment.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and conduct master planning tasks, strategic business plans, capital improvement plans, feasibility studies, airspace analyses, financial analyses, and environmental assessment coordination.
  • Develop conceptual Airport Layout Plans and terminal area plans.
  • Research and compile statistical and technical information.
  • Write technical studies and forecasts and perform airspace planning.
  • Prepare reports and presentations.
  • Assist with client management.
  • Facilitate communication with Federal Aviation Administration officials and meet Federal Aviation Administration-funded project standards and guidelines.
  • Work closely with project team members, sub-consultants, and clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with computer-aided design and/or geographic information systems.
  • At least 2 years of planning experience reflecting professional awareness of the aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circulars, policies, regulations, and airport planning standards.
