Requirements
  • A high school education or equivalent is required.
  • Employees must understand Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Employees must be able to read production specifications.
  • Employees must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Employees must use English proficiently in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Employees must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and stand, stoop, walk, and lift for extended or regular periods.
  • Employees must work primarily in a factory or warehouse setting and may be based at a Menasha Packaging site or customer location.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train general labour personnel in the assembly of displays and other packaging.
  • Maintain and follow Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Continually observe and improve production efficiency.
  • Reconcile feeder stock and components at the end of each shift and report discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
  • Foster and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Communicate quality issues to quality inspectors.
  • Operate and maintain equipment regularly.
  • Complete required documentation with attention to detail.
  • Ensure that food safety, quality, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed during each production run.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating packaging equipment is considered an asset.
  • One to two years of pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic packaging and machine operating experience is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Experience with WMS software, Microsoft Office, and SAP is considered an asset.
