Requirements

The candidate must be able to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
The candidate must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
The candidate must be able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
The candidate must be able to speak, read, and write English.
The candidate must be able to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
The candidate must complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
The candidate must complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance and running food and drinks as needed.
Know the Food and Beverage menus and items, current food and drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system in a timely manner.
Retrieve food and drink orders from the kitchen or bar area and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a manager.
Collect guests’ payments by credit card, cash, or gift card; ensure transactions are correct using the point-of-sale system; calculate and deliver correct change in a timely manner.
Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.
Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to speak, read and write English
Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
