Requirements
  • Understanding of CAD principles and drafting practices.
  • Understanding of land development principles and practices.
  • One year of professional experience utilizing CAD, as an alternative to the preferred Associate degree.
  • Ability to participate in CAD workflows and maintain project timelines.
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve issues related to CAD drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing quality Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, Concept Plans, and Exhibits.
  • Use multiple software applications in preparing Land Development Plans.
  • Apply municipal design standards for layout restrictions and guidelines.
  • Coordinate files and file sharing with outside agencies.
  • Perform CAD coordination tasks between Engineers, CAD Designers, and Project Managers on projects.
  • Ensure drawing deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Apply workflow best practices and meet project milestones and timelines.
  • Maintain drawing file organization according to company standards and proper archiving procedures.
  • Perform progressive plan checks and final-level quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure drawing accuracy, constructability, and consistency before submission.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce CAD standards, workflows, and best practices, including client templates, CAD training presentations, and written or recorded guides.
  • Mentor CAD users alongside CAD Management and serve as a technical resource.
  • Encourage continuous improvement, automation, and innovation among CAD users while adopting new technologies and software.
  • Participate in cross-office work sharing while maintaining responsibility for assigned deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
