- Ensure images are legibly labeled with the correct date and patient identification.
- Enter examinations on the daily log sheet as needed.
- Complete the correct tracking steps for each examination.
- Perform related duties as required.

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 21, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Northwell Health raised more than $650,000 at the eighth annual Summer Hamptons Evening. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $7 million to support the Katz Institute for Women's Health and the communities Northwell serves. Twenty-one Northwell Health hospitals recognized by American Heart Association for heart and stroke care. Twenty-one Northwell Health hospitals earned 2026 Get With The Guidelines achievement awards from the American Heart Association, recognizing quality and consistency in treating stroke, heart attack, heart failure, and cardiac arrest, according to an Aug. 20 announcement. The annual awards honor hospitals that follow the American Heart Association's evidence-based treatment guidelines and demonstrate a commitment to improving clinical outcomes. Of the recognized facilities, 18 received Gold Plus status for stroke care. Several hospitals also achieved additional distinctions for rapid stroke treatment and advanced therapy. North Shore University Hospital, South Shore University Hospital, Phelps Hospital, and Norwalk Hospital earned Stroke Gold Plus recognition with Target: Stroke Elite Plus distinctions. Additionally, North Shore University Hospital, South Shore University Hospital, and Norwalk Hospital were awarded Target: Stroke Advanced Therapy recognition. Lenox Hill Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Staten Island University Hospital-North and Prince's Bay campuses, Mather Hospital, among others within the Northwell Health system, received Stroke Gold Plus recognition with Target: Stroke Elite Honor Roll distinctions. For rural communities' stroke care efforts, Sharon Hospital received Rural Stroke Gold recognition while Northern Dutchess Hospital earned Rural Stroke Silver recognition for meeting quality measures designed to improve care in isolated areas. In cardiac care categories beyond stroke treatment: Lenox Hill Hospital, Huntington Hospital, and Danbury Hospital were awarded Gold Plus STEMI Receiving Center awards; South Shore University Hospital, Mather Hospital, and Peconic Bay Medical Center also earned Gold STEMI Receiving recognitions; Norwalk and Plainview Hospitals received Silver Plus STEMI Receiving Center awards. Northwell Health has been named one of 14 health systems in the U.S. to receive the "Excellence in System-Wide Spread" recognition from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), a globally recognized leader in healthcare quality improvement. The healthcare system operates major facilities across Queens, including in Rego Park, Jackson Heights, Fresh Meadows, Flushing and Forest Hills. A news release from Northwell said the achievement underscores its success in implementing age-friendly care principles across its health system, which spans 21 hospitals, 64 ambulatory practices, home care services and skilled nursing facilities. The recognition from IHI, which is valid through 2029, acknowledges Northwell's work ensuring that older adults receive quality, person-centered care, regardless of setting. According to Northwell, this integrated approach positions it as a national leader in delivering evidence-based care to the nation's rapidly growing older adult population. Northwell's recognition came through IHI's 18-month Age-Friendly System-Wide Spread Collaborative, which convened 30 U.S. health systems to assess and refine methods for scaling age-friendly care delivery. According to projections from the U.S. Census Bureau, Americans aged 65 and older will outnumber those under 18 for the first time in U.S. history by 2034, making expertise in delivering age-friendly care increasingly critical to the nation's healthcare infrastructure. Northwell's age-friendly strategy is anchored in the evidence-based 4Ms Framework - What Matters, Medication, Mentation (Mind) and Mobility - which guides clinicians in addressing the essential elements of care for older patients: The health system aims to understand and align care with each patient's individual health outcome goals and care preferences; ensure medications are age-appropriate and do not interfere with patient goals, mobility or cognitive function; prevent, identify, treat and manage delirium, depression and dementia across all care settings; and assess physical abilities and create environments where older adults can move safely and maintain independence. Northwell Health has been recognized as the most awarded health system in the New York tri-state area for the sixth consecutive year, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2026-27 Best Hospitals rankings announced on Aug. 4. Eight Northwell hospitals were listed among the best in New York state, with six - North Shore University Hospital (NSUH), Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, Huntington Hospital, South Shore University Hospital (SSUH), and Glen Cove Hospital - earning a combined total of 30 adult specialties ranked among the top 50 nationally. NSUH and LIJ were ranked fourth and fifth best hospitals in New York by U.S. News, while Lenox Hill was eighth. HHC names new Cancer Institute physician-in-chief. July 28, 2026 Nationally recognized hematologic oncologist and physician executive Adam M. Boruchov, MD, will join Hartford HealthCare in July as physician-in-chief of the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute. Dr. Boruchov succeeds Peter Yu, MD, who is stepping down after more than a decade of leadership and will transition to the honorary role of physician-in-chief emeritus. Dr. Yu has played a pivotal role in building the Cancer Institute into a leading integrated cancer program known for clinical excellence, innovation and patient-centered care across Connecticut. In his emeritus role, Dr. Yu will continue advancing strategic oncology informatics initiatives in partnership with Hartford HealthCare leadership. Dr. Boruchov joins Hartford HealthCare from Northwell Health, formerly Nuvance Health, where he served as senior vice president and chair of the Cancer Institute. His career also includes leadership positions at Trinity Health of New England.
